By: Sigit Pramono

Stories from the outskirts of Yogyakarta. A group of residents came to the spinning doctor team of a local candidate. Only because they don’t want to rent tents, tables, chairs for the next election or another event, they all promise that 300 registered voters in the polling station will definitely select the candidate. The prerequisite is only the candidate is willing to rent those tents, chair, and another inventory needed. When the D-day polling arrived, the citizens do choose the candidates. Even though, the ballot box is hijacked until the promised tents finally arrived.

Even long before appointed, especially after officially elected with absolute vote as dean in Fisipol, His days always filled up with designing ideas to developing both the resources factors, programs on academic activities, policy advocacy, to planning infrastructure development.

For Dr. Pratikno, not even a second is passed without thinking of the faculty. Start from looking philanthropy for financing scholarships, research development, to the obsession build physical facilities that Fisipol has more “dignified” face at the national level. The impact of all this … Together with Lecturers from different department in the faculty, we have to work hard promoting the faculty trough some cooperation and development programs. Zero Mind Process: Join ESQ Training in Jakarta

After the workshop in Medan, instead of going home directly to Yogyakarta, I will stay in Jakarta for two days. Since I don’t have neither teaching schedule on Friday nor meeting on this Saturday, I planned to participate in the ESQ Executive Training. Together with my wife (she will leaving to Jakarta this evening), we will join Pak Ary Ginanjar Agustian’s ESQ training at “Menra 165″ in Jakarta tomorrow morning.

I have already joint ESQ training for several times. Joining ESQ Training at the time we have chance is a part of my efforts to keep myself in “orbital” in the circle community ESQ 165. At the same time, the training also “recharge” the hearts and maintain its sensitivity that ZMP is easier to do. For me and my family, life is about balance. Not only the brain and mind that need to be “recharged”, but the heart and mind should also always be maintained its sensitivity. Perhaps there are ESQ 165 alumni who are interested to join? Perhaps we could meet in Jakarta .***
